CMM Operator Training

CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator Training

Open to BIC foundation and premium members* and approved BCC students and faculty.  This thirty (30) hour workshop is designed for CMM Operators vs. Programmers:  Part 1 topics:  Basic system operation and set-up, including how to turn the system on, boot the controller and load/run an existing program, calibration, and manual measurement procedures.  Part 2 topics:  Basic measurement theory and generation of programs from CAD files (using Hexagon’s PC-DMIS software) to measure and report the measurement data.  This course is a prerequisite in order to operate the Hexagon Metrology CMM model 121510, Romer Arm, and Laser Scanner to be located at the new Berkshire Innovation Center facility (and temporarily located at Taconic High School).  PREREQUISITES: Completion of Solidworks/3D Operator Training Training workshop or permission of instructor.
